Teachers Training Course
Take Your Practice to the Next Level
Train to be a Yoga Teacher - an Ambassador of Peace
Would you like to take your practice and understanding of the
Yogic teachings to a deeper level?
Have you benefited a lot from your yoga practice
and would like to share this with others?
In 2020 Yoga Bromley will be offering an inspirational and comprehensive 200 hour yoga training course which is deeply rooted in the tradition of yoga and part of a powerful lineage of yoga masters. The course offers a profound personal, often life-changing experience, helping you to build a firm foundation of inner discipline and providing you with the experience and wisdom to share that with others. This training will help you experience the transformational power of yoga and an enhanced quality of life and will also teach you safe, effective and clear ways of confidently passing these teachings on.
The course will be limited to just 8/9 students so it will be an intimate training setting with plenty of personal attention and guidance.
It would be lovely to have some more teachers in the Bromley area so that we can increase our schedule of available classes for the local community and this is a wonderful way for you to get experience in teaching with our guidance.
Pre-Requisites
You don’t have to be a master of yoga to apply... A dedicated regular yoga practise is enough and your sincere desire and commitment to personal growth. Even if you do not wish to be a yoga teacher, you may take this course for the deeper understanding of the philosophy as well as for the inspirational, purifying experience and for all round personal development. You may have already experienced the positive effect yoga has had on your life and are keen to share this with others.
Course Dates, Venue & Investment
What's great about this course is you do not have to take all your holiday time from work to take it! It will be spread over 8 weekends every 3 or 4 weeks and will take place in Bromley at a student's garden holistic studio. Then there will be 4 full days at our retreat venue Casa Santosha in the Andalucian hills of southern Spain. So if you work full-time, you only need to take a few days' annual leave to take the course.
You can find full details of Casa Santosha on our website www.casasantosha.com. The closest airport is Malaga. If needed our venue in Bromley can offer accommodation for the weekends from £20 a night.

On the shorter weekends in Bromley, we will start early at 7am on Saturday and end about 6pm on Sunday. On the longer August bank holiday weekend we will start at 3pm on Friday and end about 4pm on Monday. There will also be some occasional group meetings in between each of the weekends, to go through any questions, as there will be some home assignments and practice to do. These dates will be arranged with the group and will be based in Bromley.
On the 4-day retreat at Casa Santosha in Spain we will have a transfer from Malaga airport for 1.30pm on Wednesday 30th September and we will drop you back to Malaga airport on Sunday 4th October at about 2pm, so you would need to book a flight that would fit in with these timings. Timings for flights can be discussed with Emma on booking. If you book early you can usually get a return flight for under £100.

Main Course Tutor- Emma Brown - Senior Yoga Teacher
Emma is the director and founder of Yoga Bromley and has been teaching yoga, meditation and philosophy for more than 25 years. She took the Sivananda Yoga Teachers' Training Course in Neyyar Dam, India in 1994 and her Advanced Teachers' Training at Sivananda Headquarters in Canada and in Rudraprayag, Himalayas in India in 2000/2014.
She met Swami Vishnu Devananda, the founder of the Sivananda organisation, in 1993, and then stayed on as full-time voluntary staff with the organisation for 14 years, doing service and spreading the beautiful message and teachings of Yoga.
During her time as staff she directed the Paris, New York and Delhi Centres for several years, and has an in-depth training and experience in all aspects of yoga practice and philosophy.
Emma has been a teacher on the Sivananda Teachers Training Courses and now teaches regularly in Bromley and North London, as well as on other teacher trainings with Yoga London and Universal Yoga.
Emma is also a qualified Ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle consultant and an Ayurvedic chef and guides people on all issues of health, well being and positive living.
As a result of years of practice, study and embracing yoga as a way of life, Emma is inspired to share the wisdom and joy of yoga from the heart. Emma’s inspiration for leading this course is to share with others what she has learnt from her teachers and personal practice and study of Yoga. She seeks to help others become “Ambassadors of Peace” by finding a deeper sense of purpose and fulfilment in their lives and a profound experience of peace and happiness from within - enabling them, with skills and experience, to share this beauty and wisdom with others.
As Swami Vishnu Devananda would say - Training others to be future peace leaders in the World!
